Test Rigs
From the moment a unit is stripped in our workshops, it will pass through a series of inspections in keeping with our quality procedures. However the most in-depth inspection is our test procedure. This we class as ‘THE ULTIMATE INSPECTION’.

REXROTH A4V250 HYD
PUMP ON TEST
Shown on this page of our web site are some of the continuing developments at Heavyparts Hydraulics. The latest being the 250BHP hydrostatic motor test rig. This system applies a variable torque to the motor shaft and compares input flow and pressure against the drive speed and case drain leakage, from which an overall efficiency can be calculated.

MOTOR TEST RIG
When testing variable motors by applying a load to the motor drive shaft, we can check the correct operation of the motor controls, including high pressure relief valves, cooling valve, electrical and servo controls, min to max torque and speed controls. Complete hydrostatic drive systems can be replicated, enabling simultaneous testing of both pump and motor performance.

ARRANGEMENT OF TEST RIGS
The motor test rig pictured centrally has been built to complement our own designed and developed 500BHP pump test rig. The unique design of this rig incorporates two Rolls-Royce Perkins engines enabling two units to be tested independently. Alternatively the power of both systems can be combined for larger units up to 1000cc.

VARIOUS SCREEN FORMATS
All of the test rigs are operated from a centrally located fully computerised console pictured top left. Each rig also has its own data logging system, giving real time test results that are stored in memory and can be reproduced in many different formats.
